Our objective is that, through reading books, children from non English-speaking parents can enjoy the process of learning English as a second language and become aware of different cultures and traditions.

​

Our activities range from organizing fundraisers and donations of books for organizations focused in children, to teaching English as a second language to local children in our families' countries of origin, Taiwan and Mexico, as well as children of immigrant families in South Florida.

Since its creation, READ has impacted the lives of over 200 children and 100 families. We have been able to raise over $10,000 in funds, goods and services to try to make a positive impact, break harmful cycles, and give children the hope and chances that they deserve
